Embark on a Powerful Journey and Change Lives

Why Become a Foster Parent

One Family Illinois offers a unique and one-of-a-kind opportunity to become a full-time professional live-in foster parent in one of our villages in Chicago and Lockport.

Foster Parents are the heart of One Family Illinois. They offer more than a home by creating space for healing, growth, and joy. In our Village communities, they play a vital role in keeping siblings together and preserving the deep bonds that give children a sense of family. Becoming a Foster Parent means transforming lives and helping kids feel safe, loved, and free to be themselves.

Prioritizing Children Safety

At One Family Illinois, we advance the safety, well-being, and future of children by empowering the adults and communities who care for them.

Siblings Stay Together

Our Sibling Foster Care Program hires experienced, full-time live-in foster parents to care for sibling groups in our village communities. Siblings stay together, growing side by side, and sharing the little moments that make them a family.

Community-Centered Approach

Each home has on-site case managers, clinical therapists, and enrichment services. Our team-centered approach preserves normalcy, helping children thrive, grow, and embrace the joys of childhood.
