One Family IL Achieves COA Accreditation: A Mark of Quality Care

One Family Illinois has earned COA Accreditation, recognizing the organization for meeting—and exceeding—national standards for nonprofit excellence in programming, service delivery, management, and administration.

“I am proud to receive this recognition of One Family Illinois’ commitment to quality across every aspect of our organization,” said CEO Delphine F. Rankin, Ed.D. “This accreditation gives families, service partners, and community members added confidence that the children and siblings in our foster villages are safe, supported, and meaningfully engaged.”

COA Accreditation, a service of Social Current, provides objective, independent,and reliable validation of an organization’s performance. The rigorous accreditation process includes an in-depth review of administrative practices, management systems, and service delivery functions, measured against internationally recognized standards of best practice.

These standards ensure that One Family Illinois’ services are:

• Well-coordinated
• Culturally competent
• Evidence-based
• Outcomes-oriented
• Delivered by a skilled and well-supported workforce

To achieve accreditation, One Family Illinois submitted comprehensive written documentation demonstrating compliance with COA standards. This was followed by a series of on-site interviews conducted by specially trained volunteer Peer Reviewers, who met with board members, staff, and clients to confirm adherence to these standards in practice.
